It's best just to ignore both of them. The badge isn't getting changed and in a few weeks they'll move onto the next thing to manufacture outrage for.

I thought this too at first but as the nonsense is building I'm getting more annoyed. It's lazy journalism and lousy history. I'm starting to think the club should put out a statement on the ship and Manchester's history and say we're proud of both.

I'm sorry I had to take the picture of the book off your posting to reply. My stomach wouldn't let me see that Ferguson man on any post of mine.

I have never, ever been an advocate of burning books, I cried (no joke) at the burning books scene in Fahrenheit 451 because I love books.
HOWEVER for the book shown in your post I would set it alight myself. :-(

I was watching something on the Drama channel last night and the logo it was showing was the sailing ship!! I didn’t find it was offensive I just had a laugh as I wondered what the Graudian (intentional misspelling) would make of that. :-)
