For the life off me looking at the CURRENT squad I have not got a clue, forget who we may sign.
Or even who Hughes will pick.

Is Santa Cruz necessarily any better than Bojinov?

Given
Zabaleta Richards Kompany Bridge
Ireland De Jong Robinho Barry
Santa Cruz Bellamy

Current Squad

Zab...Dunne...Onouha...Bridge

.............NDJ
..................Barry
......Ireland

SWP.....................Robinho
..............RSC

playing ireland right wing would be a huge error...play 3 accross midfield...swp and robbie on the wings and cruz up top

wheres kompany

On the bench. NDJ edges it for me, both great players though. Also I think Dunne and Onouha are better CB's, so unfortunately, as the current squad stands there is no place in my strongest 11 for Big Vinnie.

Kompany ahead of Dunne in there for me. Dune is a City legend but he is fast becoming a clumsy liability.

........................Given............................

Zab.........Vinnie............Ned..............Bridge < hopefully lescott >

Robinho..............Ireland...................SWP

Football is a sqaud game, there is no such thing as a best 11. Eleven players in one formation may win well one week but be innefective the week after against a different opposition.

One big criticism of last season was how we plodded into every game with the same formation, regardless of the personnel available and the opposition.

What we have now are option. a GK and a flat back 4 should be set in stone. After that you could have de jong holding and barry going box to box with ireland as the more advanced of a central three. Santa Claus up front with robinho and (HIDES) Tevez behind, allowing Robbie and Tevez to drift wide.

or

you play with SWP and Petrov as wide me with Santa Clause as a target man and robinho or tevez playing off him. This means that you then play de jong and barry or have ireland in place of de jong in slightly less advanced position.

or

we could go on.....
