Trying to avoid the Mancini and run-in thread merge here but why don't we just play our best 11 (when fit) and win every game like we did pre-December?

Hart
Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy
Milner, Yaya, Barry, Silva
Aguero, Balo/ Tevez/ Dzeko

Take your pick and/ or choose the striker to partner Aguero. NDJ has been great recently but why did Bobby try to fix something that didn't need fixing? Play the 11 that put us where we are. Simple.

Rotation isn't needed now, we are out of all cups so just win every single game by playing the best possible 11.

I find it hard to pick our best 11 tbh.

If we have Dzeko up top i'd always have Kolarov as a Left Winger to whip the Balls in to the box, but Aguero and Mario are Great players, not that Edin isn't though it's just a matter of picking as you say our best 11. We've so many great players in the side.

Hart and a back four of Richards Lescott Kompany and Clichy picks its self

Yaya is certainly in there with perhaps Barry, but i also love Nigel as that tough tackling strong DM. Silva is also a must as i'd imagine is Aguero.

Mario can turn it on when he wants and i feel Nasri is to much of a Silva type player not to mention AJ who can turn a game for us when needed, also Pizzaro would be a player i'd probably put on after say 60-65 mins he can pick a pass out, Milner is also a very creative player and i ain't even mentioned Zabs yet who is also very capable of filling in at RB and at times LB.

My heads gonna explode.

Just play the 6-1 team every game. Can someone tell me how many times we've played this starting 11 since that day?

.................................Hart

Micah...............Vinnie...........Lescott..............Clichy

.......................Yaya............Barry

.............Milner...............................Silva

.......................Aguero...........Mario

Clichy and Micah providing the width like they did at the beginning of the season, I'd be confident of this team winning every game we have left.

It's when you start pissing about with Kolo, NDJ, Kolarov and Dzeko that we begin to function incorrectly.

I'm all for picking the best 11 week in week out except for injuries or suspensions but mancini is more of a horses for courses type manager. So we don't build any kind of familiarity in the team were players can read each others movement or style, so every match is like starting over again, plus from day one it's all too slow and even the shit teams can regroup and defend against us ,now that they have worked out our style of play. The mancini way ? Barcelona slow motion. If he wants us to win the title he has to up the tempo, imho even swansea with average players play with a faster tempo.

---------------------------- Hart -----------------------------

Richards ------- Kompany ---------- Lescott ---------- Clichy

-------------- Yaya --------------------- Barry --------------

--------------------------- Silva -------------------------------

----------- Aguero -------------------------- Tevez -------------

------------------------- Balotelli ---------------------------------

---------------------------- Hart -----------------------------

Richards ------- Kompany ---------- Lescott ---------- Clichy

-------------- Pizzaro --------------------- Barry -----------

---------------------------Yaya -------------------------------

----------- Aguero -------------------------- SIlva -------------

-------------------------Dzeko ---------------------------------

This will likely be the starting 11.

Richards ------- Kompany ---------- Lescott ---------- Clichy

-------------- Yaya --------------------- Barry --------------

--------------------------- Silva -------------------------------

----------- Aguero -------------------------- Tevez -------------

------------------------- Balotelli ---------------------------------

This.....but would definitely have yaya playing further up the field, (just behind Sergio & C.T.) its such a waste playing a player with his drive & commitment as a sweeper.. a pivitol mistake by Roberto at Swansea, imo.

It's very difficult to pick a 'best' first 11 at City because a lot of the squad players are similar in terms of ability.

For example De Jong may be a better option than Barry at the moment, but may not be in 6 weeks time. Or Balotelli might be in a rich vein of form so he is the better option than Dzeko. Or Kolorav may be currently a better option than Clichy but may not be next month.

IMO the only players that would be a constant in a Manchester City 'best' 11 are Hart, Richards, Kompany, Yaya Toure, Silva and Aguero (and i'd probably include Tevez if things were different). The other positions are purely decided by form.

you are quite right for a rag fan, except for the Richards part. Zab could take his place, but Micah is favoured because of his size and tenure, and him being English. i suppose you are a gamer as well?
then again the outsiders always see the big picture more clearer than others ie the ones with blue-tinted specs on.

but then again why are you posting about the City squad as a rival fan in the first place
