Our best ever player

I’ve seen City since 1965…
In my opinion it’s KDB
That's very interesting as I date back to the same year and I'm torn between Bell and KDB. King Colin still shades it for me as he did it all, and was better defensively than KDB, plus, he had to do it all on pitches that were like shit-heaps.

The City Mount Rushmore would have Colin Bell, David Silva, KDB, Sergio Aguero and Rodri on it as our top 5 imho

How lucky we are to have lived in the era where we saw 4 of these in their absolute pomp.

Rodri's CV - 4 Leage Titles, Scoring the winner in the clubs European Cup Final win, Ballon D'Or winner, winner of all the major pots available as a City player - stacks up with better than most tbh. The fun is in arguing who the best is.

Well that i dont know. Was kinkladze a better dribbler than Doku for example? Id say so yes. Was he a better passer? Yep again.
Better than mahrez at those specifics? A big yes

Would he have worked hard like pep insists? Not at the time no but under pep could he have adapted? Well aguero did and mahrez didnt exactly graft back did he.

Kinkladze was a huge ray of sunshine during a shit time. Id love to have seen him under pep to see if he would listen, adapt, learn and be a world class player
Never know tho will we
I don’t agree that he would be a world class player but he was, without a doubt, a huge ray of sunshine when we were epically shit.

I completely agree with you.

City were a basket case of a club during Kinkladzes era. The football and physicality, of that era, was not suited to him and he probably needed a bit of tough love, but as a 21 year old, walking into a major European league, technically he is as good as anyone I have seen.

He clearly had a few demons and whether he could have resolved those issues I don’t know, but we’ve seen with KDB and David Silva how being under the right tutelage and guidance a player can be completely elevated.

Sadly he will always be considered unfulfilled potential and the arguments will always rage where his ceiling was as a player. But if I could go back in time and watch any player in his pomp, it would be Kinkladze.

King kev for me.
Closely followed by silva and rodri.
Special mention for sergio n yaya.

Think our phil could top them all
