At one time or another more than a dozen players have been described as en route elsewhere on Williamsair. Vieira has gone and Given, Rocky, Sweep, Bridge, Bellamy and Adebayor have surely got their reservations booked. Other returnees like Weiss and Onuoha would seem to be in transit only and there are strong rumours about Milner & Balotelli wanting a ticket elsewhere. Bob still doesn't seem so sure about Tevez either and there are even rumours about Dzeko. Are odds being quoted does anyone know?

If only half of these took off we'd be in serious trouble.
 
Why would we be in trouble most of that lot don't didn't get a single game last year.

If we got rid of all the top part of your statement we would make the FFP no problem lol

The players who were out on loan last season can go again, or be sold providing we get 2-3 in.

Players like Dzeko, Balotelli were unavailable for much of last season, but inevitably some will get injured again.

I don't think we need to worry about numbers in June, but we need to get 2 quality players in. If we lack numbers, that can be sorted in Aug/Jan

This problem is looming next week. All our players are contractually entitled to be involved in pre-season training and tours. In my original list I forgot to include Jo (and Caicedo) but Tevez & Zabba will be on their hols after the Copa America and consequently missing from the start of pre season & the early part of the tour. It also looks like MJ and several U21s such as Boyata are set to be loaned out next season (along with number 3 goalkeeper Gonzales.) The result of all this is that when it's time to report back on July 6th there will less than a complete team available who are likely to feature in the 25 man squads. The continuing presence of so many players in the departure lounge combined with a lack of new blood does not augur well for team gelling.
 
1st day back at training will be a shocker, sure Bob will be over the moon to be confronted by all our rejects.

I suppose the initial couple of weeks is mainly fitness work but Bob will want them out asap.
 
Realistically, how many players have moved to date especially if you discount rags and dippers.

Unfortunately, most of our "get rid" list is well known to all clubs and they will be wanting to wait until right to the end of the window to get a bargain price when we will be desperate to shift them and they all know it.

Man City Announce Shock Transfer Plans

New Manchester City Operations supremo John Williams has announced radical plans to revamp the way the club conduct out going transfers. In a move that is sure to send shock waves through football he has decided to put unwanted players on display in the club souvenir shop.
Williams, who left Ewood Park after claiming that he could no longer work with the club’s new owners has been given the brief of reducing the Eastlands first team squad from an unwieldy 468 to a more manageable 30 senior pros backed up with 20-30 young prospects.
Speaking yesterday Williams:
“The club have tried all of the usual channels over the last twelve months and have had no joy so we are hoping that by putting them in the new shop we’ll get them a move”
“The set up will be similar to a dogs home where people can come in and meet the players, we’ll even let people feed them and take them home for the weekend….the important thing is that we find them the right home with someone who can give them the love and attention they need”.
The retail space at Eastlands has undergone a major overhaul, which has seen it become the most digitally advanced football store in the UK but this will now be overshadowed by plans to install the caged area that would showcase players such as Roque Santa Cruz, Craig Bellamy and Emmanuel Adebayor.
Garry Cooke speaking at the grand opening of the new store explained:

“The club strives for perfection in every area and our ‘player cages’ will be no different, they have been tested rigorously in Guantanamo Bay and are absolutely state of the art”
“We intend to pump crowd noises through headphones and there will be a plasma screen that shows snippets of them in action. We hope this will provide buyers with the perfect environment in which to inspect their potential purchases”.
The unwanted players will receive regular walks and will be fed three times day, however the pressing need to reduce the wage bill in line with UEFA fair play regulations means that each player will only be kept on display for a maximum of twelve weeks before being terminated.
Manager Roberto Mancini:
“Yes it is possible that some players may be put to sleep but hopefully it will not come to this, of course people like Wayne Bridge and Sean Wright Phillips are nervous but i’m sure that once people see them looking all fluffy and helpless they will not be able to resist”.

Problem is not so much the fees, it's the wages they are on. Other clubs will not and cannot match them. Tevez is one of the best strikers in World football, and nobody is willing to stump up the asking fee or match his wage demands, so now there's this rather embarrassing situation where he has been slagging off all and sundry, including the city of Manchester, but may have to come back with his tail between his legs.

These dangleberries will be Cook's legacy. I know there had to be some convincing to get certain players to believe in the project, but 30million in wages for 7 players you don't want is more than you make in matchday revenue. FFP will eventually do you a very big favour, because this could have escalated further.

Right, who is currently waiting for their flight call - Adebayor & Rocky obviously, Kolarov (name off the teacups), de Jong & Kolo (last year of contract) Dzeko, Savic, Boyata, the Johnson boys, McGivern, Scapuzzi? The arrivals hall had better get busy!
