Can't argue with KDB being out best player, but my OP was about who is our most important player. The player we will struggle most to cover with when he is out.

If ' Dinho was injured we could play Delph or Gundogan there and only drop a bit, though we would drop in my view.
However we might play Debruyne there and actually improve slightly in that area, but lose out on Debruyne's contributions elsewhere.

If KDB can play close to this for even 3 or 4 seasons, then he is the new King...and I honestly think King Colin would agree.

KDB is the MOST COMPLETE PLAYER to ever don the uniform, IMHO. Bar none.

There are a few contenders and it seems amiss to choose just one , because the team ethic is what Pep is all about , on current form KDB but he isnt the best we have seen at the club because Merlin has done it for a few years , for KDB to usurp Merlin he would have to put a few more seasons in , at his current level.

There's just as many that David Silva helps pick for me.

I'd go so far as to say that this midfield three (Silva, KdB, and Fernandhino) are one of the best "three" that the world has ever seen together, they compliment each other perfectly, and with Bernardo, and Gundogan now looking like more than able deputies for the former two, we need to find one for Fernandhino.

KDB for me.

I am unfortunate to be old enough to remember the King. I think KDB of this season is a better player. The question is will he maintain this level over the coming seasons or even possibly improve.
