Our recent performances

I wouldn't argue with the home performances, but I thought the football in the 2nd half was very good.

Liverpool were poor, but that was in part due to the workrate which City put in. We did not let them play in the 1st half, perhaps at the expense of our own attacking game.

The comeback after going a goal down was also noteworthy.

I usually agree with most of your comments about the game, but not today. Whilst this was another draw, the commitment and quality of our game stepped up another level today as it had to.

Perhaps poor results sap confidence. Hopefully we will go on from here

I acknowledged that for 20mins we outplayed them in the second half, but once they pulled it back to 2-2 we went missing again and for the last 15mins or so looked happy to settle for a point. As the game wore on Kuyt went chasing the ball to retrieve it and throw it to Given for our goal kick obviously trying to move the game on and then Shay took about 2 mins to take the kick, no haste or interest in going for the winning goal. Obviously a point is a good result at Anfield but todays opposition were as far removed from a past Liverpool team as you could get.

Does anyone actually waste time reading long boring negative threads like that??

If you are gonna have a go............

Keep it short & stright to the point like " Hughes Out"

I spent the first three months of his appointment saying Hughes out on here but got told to change the fucking record and received loads of abuse for it. In the course of fairness I now try to look at what he's doing and how were improving or not, sorry it was long and boring for you i'll try better next time.

Hope that was short enuff ;-)

With attitudes like this we dont stand a chance. You spent the first three months of the appointment of a new manager at our fine club calling for him to be sacked. WTF. When will we ever get behind our team.

This post is spot on. That was the worst liverpool side Ive seen for years. Some fans on here seem to be ignoring the fact that their half fit reserves scored 2 past us. What wwould have happened if they had had gerrad fit, torres fit, Riera fit, Agger stayed on? And the poster is spot on the quality of the game was shite. Some guy has written on a different thread we played some of our best football of the season! Jeez. If thats what Ive got to look forwaard to for the rest of the season I want a refund on my ticket. We pump long balls up to one guy for 45 mins and call that football? Do me a favour. Im not arsed who manages us, Im not anti-hughes cos hes a an ex-utd, I just want to see the opportunity the club has with its wealth produce great games that get you off your seat, and see players who likewise get you excited on the way to the ground because of the way they play the game. We have spent 200 million to go long and sit two defensive midfielders in front of a back 4 who ship goals for fun.
