So whats your opinions of your leaders at thr moment and how do you feel about the restrictions introduced for Covid?

Too much or looking after your best interests?

Two sides to every coin

I'm hoping Boris keeps restrictions as they are as I want my games of football

Nobody has got everything right (not even Jacinda). Even Johnson has got some things right if you give him some credit for the vaccine programme. In Scotland, I feel that Sturgeons communication has been pretty good. It feels like she has engaged us as grownups and I support the stuff she has brought in over Christmas. Its only the last week or so that Omicron seems to be less dangerous so she had to react and I think the controls and communication have been more appropriate and better communicated than those in England. I have personal experience of how easily and quickly Omicron is spreading and am still crossing fingers today that our Christmas plans will not have to be cancelled.

Her job is made more difficult when anything she does it mostly dependent on the Treasury to fund as the Scottish Parliament has no powers to borrow money. The first 9 months of the pandemic I would have scored her handling quite high other than the debacle of feeding those with Covid into care homes (also a UK problem). Her weekly communications were a lesson in clarity and detail. There was a fight that her regular appearances were giving her political advantage so coverage has reduced although we still get a Tuesday coverage of her addressing Scottish parliament. The media up here are still pretty pro union so she gets a rougher time than Johnson does with his propaganda machines. She is human, makes mistakes and admits to most of them which buys her some credit with me.
There will be plenty disagree with me and thats fine.

Great reply.
i was speaking to a welsh customer the other day and she reckoned Drakefords popularity has plummeted back home (only her words, not checked at all) as people feel he is too controlling and likes to go one step further than westminster as if to prove a point.
My pal lives in lanark and cant stand sturgeon, though he is a huge unionist so i guess he picks on most things she says. Again says she is over controlling and too political when it comes to covid

Once upon a time I might have thought the same. I look at UK and Scottish politics through a different lens since Brexit and Johnson.

I've always had the impression Sturgeon and Drakeford make announcements to keep one step ahead of Boris
