Why are we so shit in the second half of games? I just saw this on the BBC, but most of us don't need a bunch of stats to notice it.
It used to be the case that in a game like Spurs the other day, even if we'd gone in 1-0 up, I'd be fairly confident that the flood gates would open in the second half. The longer the game went on, the more likely we'd be to score. But now it's like if we don't take 3 or 4 chances in the first half, we end up clinging on.
So what is it? A lack of fitness? Opponents figuring out our tactics and changing things as half time? Just not being good enough to deal with an opponent who has nothing to lose by going for it?
