Rightly so, we are all in awe of David Silva, Kun, Kev, Gabby J etc, and rightly so. But we have Fernandinho who is, in my humble opinion, absolutely crucial to the cause.

He prowls and patrols the midfield and is a vital cog in our team. Awesome player who is sometimes underestimated. We are very lucky to have a player of his caliber.

Saw an article today that mentioned that some players may not be around next season and he was mentioned. To even think that he won't be with us next season is unthinkable .

Yep slots into defence when we need, comfortable on the ball, gets attack going again. He's been especially good recently, making key passes as well in the last two games that were KDB level passes(I think Kev's raising other players' games around him this season) but nobody made a fuss about them, the assist Aguero layed off to Jesus all started from a killer Dinho pass that split them wide open. He also won the ball back and layed it off to Kev for the opener against them. I've always rated Dinho personally he did look off form(still decent) last season but he was being played in so many positions and didn't get much rest either, that wont be a problem this season hopefully so we can see him at his very best.

He started off last season in exceptional form but tailed off as the season grew old. Hopefully it won't happen again but he's showed a few times now over the past couple of seasons that his time with us is drawing to a close, unfortunately. Superb player

I don't agree actually. I think we can, and should, look to upgrade on him next summer. He's important, since the other options in his position aren't perfect either, but he's not irreplaceable.

I'd like to see him given a one-year extension with us bringing in a player of starting caliber while we let Toure go and potentially sell Delph.
