I would argue he is our most important player as there is literally no one else in the squad who can do what he does (competing with Mendy). Yaya doesnt have the legs and has never been great defensively, don't see Gundogan as playing that defensive role and delph who is probably the natural replacement isn't that great. Suppose you also have Danilo but again its not his natural position.
