Our support on here

I think that we all have to accept that the internet has created a completely false and heightened state of reaction to everything. This was originally created by twitter, people had to generate likes and hits on their posts, but they only had a limited amount of characters in which to achieve this, so after a decade or so or this, it has now moved over to all forms of communication on the internet. Facebook is like a warzone, and it's the boomer generation that is throwing shit at each other. It is quite remarkable how in such a short period of time, people went nasty or crazy online.

So people have become accustomed to over reacting to anything that happens, because it is the only way that they will get noticed. Forums where everyone agrees on everything die pretty quickly, unfortunately it is the disagreements and people slinging shit each other that keep the threads going, that keeps peoples interest up. That is the way it is now, and it sort of stinks. But if you can acknowledge that it is all fake and not real, especially when you are out in the real world, then you will get by OK.

Pep’s even critical of it. He said a few weeks ago that he doesn’t recognise his team anymore.

"I don't recognise my team. They [previously] had the desire and desire to run. We are far from the team we had in previous seasons."

All most people are doing is saying the same thing the boss is saying.
The same with some of the criticism of Grealish.

In his interview a few days ago he confirmed even he was disappointed with his own performances last season and that it took him far longer to settle than he imagined.

Which train back from Forest? I had to ask some guys who were probably all in their 50's and 60's to stop the swearing in front of my daughter. To be fair they were apologetic and stopped but I suspect the younger coke heads might have reacted differently. Fed up of everyone shouting their heads off on trains, service stations, concourses etc yet quiet as a mouse during the game. Must be the drink and drugs wearing off...
was scheduled to catch 6.45 but ended up getting earlier one which went as far as Liverpool Lime Street so probably 5.45

And here we go with the "you can't say anything without someone jumping down your throat" posts.

Nothing wrong with being critical. Nothing wrong with having a bit of a moan.

But nearly every single fucking thread is just littered with negative, repetitive, low effort, idiotic shite from people who hate united more than they love their own club. Then there are the obvious trolls who (blue or otherwise) are just here to get a reaction and that's it.

Fucking crybabies and entitled knobheads at every turn. Drop two points? We've been found out. Concede their only shot on target? Rip up the entire system. Our best players have a bit of bad form? Flog them, they're shit. Replace them with that flavour of the month player from whatever mid-table/ relegation candidate because I saw them score a couple of goals on Match of the Day.

And that's my cue to log out for the day.
And the most ironic post of the day goes to........

I’ve genuinely never seen the support on here be so negative towards the players and manager and I’ve posted on here for 15 years. It’s got to the point where 1-1 draws away in the CL are being treated by many as if we’ve just lost to bottom of the league. It used to be the match threads but now even the post match threads are just as bad.

People have become so accustomed to an elite football brand that anything below it is now leading to bizarre suggestions that the manager who brought that brand of football should now leave the club.

We’re 2nd in the league (2 points off top), in the 5th round of the cup (beat Chelsea & Arsenal) and in a great position to go through to the quarter finals of the CL. If I was reading some of the comments on here completely blind, I’d think we were having the season Liverpool are having. That’s the level of shit that realistically should lead to some of the comments I’ve seen on here.

You can’t be great every single year. It’s impossible. It’s why we’re the only team since 2009 to retain the title (x2) and why most managers get sacked the year after just one title is won. To win back to back titles for the second time in 5 years and to then be in our current position in the 6th year is immense.

Seriously guys, I can’t believe the absolute misery and unhappiness. If you’re so miserable now then you’re going to be in for a rude awakening when Pep eventually leaves and we have odd ‘really’ bad seasons like Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all do. Back the manager and team because they’ll come up trump in the end. They always do and if they don’t win the big prizes, they’ll come back again and win them next year.

Edit - I expect the miserable sods to carry on their spoilt brat support act in this very thread :)
Sensible post.

Support on here? Lol. Don't let our "support" on here fool you because Bluemoon is not a yardstick to judge match going supporters from several of our miserable non match attending blues on here.

I understand the frustration of most who post on here but some of the in game match thread posts are releasing steam heat of the moment stuff, passionate in some cases, pathetic in other cases.

I generally ignore the miserable pathetic sods who cant help themselves though, especially when things start to go pear shaped. They blame anyone and everything. I'll sometimes put that bird flapping gif up as it amuses me.

Sometimes i like to post non sensible stuff in the match thread. Shit like - 'Rodri is having a mare, get him off', when he's been the best player on the pitch. I used to get a few pelters, especially from posters who didn't know i was clearly taking the piss and deliberately wumming.

I try not to get in an online spat with another blue if i can help it as i don't see the point in arguing the toss post for post. Some on here want one-upmanship and the last word but I've already left the scene by then.

You're right about the spoilt brat bigger brigade though. Some of the arguments and shit written on this thread are as laughable as they are sad.

Win or lose we're all still blues with a different opinion of glass half empty, glass full, glass overflowing, or fuck all in glass apart from dust types. I'm somewhere in-between: )

Same one. Our carriage was not too bad but trains back from Spurs and Leicester in particular were awful. All depends on which carriage you end up in.

Criticising performances doesn't mean we don't support the team. We all want to see City win things and improve, and rightly we question things when we're not playing well. Overall I think the majority are happy with a draw away from home. It's a bit "meh" because it felt like we'd blow them away in the first half, but it's okay. We've got the home leg to come and need to take advantage of that in a few weeks. A lot could change then in terms of how we play.

I don't like this formation Pep is playing. It's leaving us completely lop-sided and it's forcing us to play back to our CBs too often. Gundogan and Bernardo didn't take advantage of the space they had when it did work - playing backwards rather than turning and slotting Haaland in. Pep's trying to keep our style and philosophy whilst getting more players around Haaland to create more chances. But this isn't working. Maybe it will after time, but we could easily have lost that game last night and as much as we say "Leipzig are no mugs" they aren't a team we should have any trouble beating if we want to win the CL.

not good when you feel on edge because other people and their behaviour is unpredictable, think i'll go back to driving away
