Our support on here

What's the issue?
It we're playing slow ineffective shite then it deserves to be called out .
The arguement about the chavs and the dippers being a mess is totally irrelevant to the way city are performing. Who gives a fuck how they're doing?

Exactly.

I saw the same type of lazy responses pointing out how 'bad' the performances of (for example) Allison and Courtois were this week, when people were commenting on Ederson's performances over the last two seasons.

"Whataboutery" at it's worst. Completely ignoring what they see as criticism of City, and avoiding reasoned discussion.

The original post on this thread smacks of 'woke' insecurity.

"The nasty people are saying nasty things about City mummy, make them go away"

Boo fucking hoo.

Well said, trying to tell others how they should comment and/or support their team......get to fuck.....its pathetic.

The only concern is ourselves, fuck everyone else,as the rest will fall into place if we have our house in order, which we currently do not.

Clearly too many happy clapping nodding donkeys around these parts.

I recon most of us are in the middle of the spectrum - with dipper like deluded at one end and miserable spoilt brats at the other.

Fair comment,at least you seem capable of recognising that people have a right to express their thinking in any way they see fit and that no other **** should attempt to influence that with their own brand of self importance.

In respect of your final sentence......Expecting the team and the manager to perform to a level that reflects their capability is not unreasonable, unless you can point to different....ive not seen anything that reflects 'spoiled brats'.

This thread has just reignited the post match thread
I think it’s somewhere in between
For example, if we played Alvarez in that game instead of haaland I think many of us probably would take that result better.
But seeing haaland getting more and more frustrated with his team mates passed that onto us watching.
To say look where we were years ago to where we are now is too simplistic
We have evolved way past that.
It just highlights how average that game was when we have to console ourselves where we were years ago.
I myself was getting angry with the sideways back passing in this game doesn’t mean I’m self entitled or spoilt.

You're by far the worst culprit on this entire forum. The moment we stop winning every week, you immediately turn on the manager and the players. Your recent attitude isn't something new, it's a pattern of behaviour you show as soon as the chips are down. I think it says a lot about your character that as soon as we hit rough patches you take the stance you do. It's likely a deep misery and negativity that sits inside that you that you take out on the club.

It's actually got to the point where you're bigging up Utd, their manager and Rashford in the United thread but shitting over your own on an almost weekly basis. Your response when we beat Arsenal was even through gritted teeth which just shows how deeply the negativity runs through you.

When we went through a bad spell in 2020 (before going on to win the league) you acted in the exact same way as you are at the moment. All I had to do is search 'Pep' go to a period of bad form and it's just relentless drivel. Imagine being in the trenches with you ffs.

Groundhog day.

I don't see the point of this thread, is it to moan about people moaning?
It's a forum, it's for fans to express themselves. I like reading the comments post match, either positive or negative. Imagine if we were all robotic happy clappers, agreeing with each other. Diverse opinions make a forum lively and interesting.
Opinions are just that, opinions. I have no idea why the OP is so upset about them.
I agree with you Bill. It’s good to have a diverse range of opinions.
For me it’s more to do with how those opinions are expressed and what are the allowable parameters.
If someone is saying that Rodri should be hooked because he seems unable link up play or seems to be carrying a knock etc that’s fine.
Fuck off Rodri you are fucking shit on the other hand should be instantly deleted.
As always just my opinion.

I’ve genuinely never seen the support on here be so negative towards the players and manager and I’ve posted on here for 15 years. It’s got to the point where 1-1 draws away in the CL are being treated by many as if we’ve just lost to bottom of the league. It used to be the match threads but now even the post match threads are just as bad.

People have become so accustomed to an elite football brand that anything below it is now leading to bizarre suggestions that the manager who brought that brand of football should now leave the club.

We’re 2nd in the league (2 points off top), in the 5th round of the cup (beat Chelsea & Arsenal) and in a great position to go through to the quarter finals of the CL. If I was reading some of the comments on here completely blind, I’d think we were having the season Liverpool are having. That’s the level of shit that realistically should lead to some of the comments I’ve seen on here.

You can’t be great every single year. It’s impossible. It’s why we’re the only team since 2009 to retain the title (x2) and why most managers get sacked the year after just one title is won. To win back to back titles for the second time in 5 years and to then be in our current position in the 6th year is immense.

Seriously guys, I can’t believe the absolute misery and unhappiness. If you’re so miserable now then you’re going to be in for a rude awakening when Pep eventually leaves and we have odd ‘really’ bad seasons like Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all do. Back the manager and team because they’ll come up trump in the end. They always do and if they don’t win the big prizes, they’ll come back again and win them next year.

Edit - I expect the miserable sods to carry on their spoilt brat support act in this very thread :)
I think it is because relatively new fans have become used to success over the last decade. We have the beat goal difference and second best points per game in the Premier League, we are in with a shout in the 3 competitions and losing against Southampton probably kept us fresher than if we were facing a fixture pile up. We were brilliant last weekend but it was one of those days against Forest. On Wednesday we could easily have scored a late goal and come away from a tough away game with the advantage. We cannot be perfect all the time, and with Kev, Aymeric and Stones out it shouldn’t be surprising that we weren’t at our fluent best. It is encouraging that Jack has settled and playing well. We will come good again. All this negative stuff does my head in, what angers me far more is the media that is quick to criticise our owners but gloss over the Newcastle ownership, there are articles praising the club for turning things around, and the mad spending of Chelsea and Forest seems to be a good thing.

I must be one of only a few that didn’t mind Wednesday’s performance or the result, I thought first half we where quality & oozed class, second half there was a noticeable drop and it was crying out for a change, Pep obviously chose to keep his powder dry and put his trust in the players out there, we wrestled back control and earned a credible draw, a far better result than most are giving credit for.
I’ve said it previously, we are where we are, no point in having an autopsy mid season after the transfer window has closed, far better to get behind the lads with blind faith and see where we end up, than to drag everything down with negativity, some of it feels like people will find something to moan about whatever the result, with the main talking points being:-
Performance, style of football
Starting eleven
Individual performances
How many subs used and when
Result
In reality we are at the business end of the season and the only thing we should be worrying about is the result and building some long awaited momentum , too many what iff’s and worrying going around, as well as a lot of hyperbole
