Ousmane Dembélé

Oh the joys of the transfer forum, first it is on, then it is off now it is back on again not holding my breath but what a player.

Well I find Sterling as exciting, or moreso, to watch as Dembele personally.

I have no idea where the idea comes from that he is a better athlete than Sterling. Nor the idea he is a better finisher.

I also don't understand the idea that if Dembele is so much better, he completes less than 70% of his passes in the Bundesliga compared to Sterling managing over 80% in the Premier League. It surely can't be that Sterling doesn't get closed down, because we all know for a fact that he does.

Perhaps it's just that Sterling is really good.

The idea that dembele is more athletic comes from the fact that he's taller, stronger, faster over a distance. He is a classic example of athleticism.

As for passing percentages perhaps dortmund play a more direct game with less emphasis on passing? I mean this is a pep team.

I'm not saying sterling is bad far from it, but you would never see him being a potential bollon dor for the future...that is the best way i can put it.

Absolutely no chance he is faster than Sterling imo.

Dembele is a talent but I'd be surprised if he was anywhere near as good as Sterling if he was dropped into the Prem next season. It would take time imo, to find out how far he could go.

By that time, Sterling might have gone up another level again, so he Dembele would still be a year or two behind.

Imo the only sense in signing him would be if one of our front lads had been a complete failure, like Martial.

We need goals rather than more tricks & flicks.

we already have a player who is equal to if not better than mbappe at st in G.jesus we have no wingers with the talent ousmane has, not a diss on sane or sterling their just neither as talented as dembele.

Nobody knows if Jesus is better than Mbappe. They are kids ffs.

I actually think dembele would thrive straight away like Gabby J. With better players around him he'd look even better...a potential top 5 in the world in a few years time.

As for pace i think you are seriously underestimating this kid here. He has not just a turn of pace like sterling, possibly because he(sterling) is short, but he has pace over a lengthy run. See here for him dropping walker like he's nothing:

Bale-esque.

If both sterling and dembs were for sale right now i would think dembele would cost more...in spite of the "english premium".

If we did sign dembele and Alexis our squad depth would be amazing, but it would be difficult to keep aguero Jesus sane sterling Alexis and dembele happy.

Well Pep did kind of kept all 6 (Muller, Robben,Ribery, Costa, Lewandowski, Coman) happy at Bayern. But they had Ribery and Robben injured mostly.
