In certain situations yes. However, on the wing taking the ball deep can be different if you have not only the pace, but the feet and confidence to do one over the defender.

See bale in more situations than i care to give examples for. This is really what dembele can be. Sterling has enough of a turn of pace to create the space to cross etc, but he doesn't have the overall ability to tear down the wing and beat a man with athleticism and raw pace.

Just think dembele has the potential to become a monster, where as sterling will improve only slightly on what he currently is.

He is a huge talent and there is no doubt that he will be a WC player in the next few years, but we have Sane, Sterling and maybe Sanchez. If we are going to pay such sums it should be for a tiebreaker- Mbappe looks like the real thing!
