out of 10 how many would you give to our start

Surely performance should come in as well as result. Liverppool was a great performance great result. SPurs was a great result but a shockingly bad performance, it was blind luck we got anything out of the game. I was willing to accept that until a very poor result away to Sunderland.

Spurs 3/10
Liverpoool 5/10
Sunderland 2/10

So average is 3.33/10

5/10?? Did you actually see any of the game. One of the most convincing performances from City in years?

6 good win against Liverpool good point away from home to Spurs even if we were out played at times. Yesterday below par should of scored in the first half and were made to pay for it right at the end.

4.4 out of 10 going on the following maths. We've won 4 points from a possible 9, that's 44% of the points available. If we averaged that throughout the season we'd end up with around 50 points. So maybe it's a bit of a slow start.

If we're aiming high (say the 80 point mark) we need to be picking up something like 70% of all the points on offer.

Looking at it a bit more positively though, in the corresponding fixtures last year we only picked up 2 points so the 4 points we've picked up so far is a 100% improvement.

8/10

A point at WHL, then two convincing performances whilst playing good football and pressing the opposition hard. It's very good for a team waiting to settle in. Yaya has been very impressive, Tevez has played out of his skin, and Barry has been a standout player.

The past couple of weeks have shown us the fickle nature of football. We played well against Liverpool and exploited them nicely, ending in a 3-0 win. We played well against Sunderland but as the game went on and we failed to score, we seemed to build a mentality of "not our day" and we started giving the ball away more.

We played badly against Spurs and stole a point, had a justified win against Liverpool, and Sunderland stole a win off of us yesterday.

Could be far worse and could be better, I'm very happy with what I'm seeing at the moment and it looks like we are going places. I think that unlike previous seasons, we are actually starting to look like we have a plan and a defined organisation. We haven't hit our stride yet, and we'll grow more into it.

7.

I've never seen a City team that have been as good as this team at keeping the ball. Two convincing performances, 4 points from games that we only took 2 points from last season.

A tremendous defensive display at Tottenham. A tremendous attacking and posession-related performance against Liverpool, and we would have had a point yesterday had it not gone tits up at the end.

We have Boateng to replace Richards. We have Kolarov to come in at left-back. And, against Sunderland and Liverpool, we only played 2 new signings. The rest were players from last-season.
