Out of date food

Usually ok if it says best before

If it says use by then I don't eat it if more than a day or 2 past date

Those cheap Tescos 'everyday value' sausage and mash are pretty good , and they don't need freezing .... just microwave them in 5-6 minutes.

They cost about 90p .... and they're alright for a quick meal.

We didn't even know what a date code was back in the carefree and swingin' sixties ... half the crap i had shoved down me by me mam must have been years old !But yeah , if yours has been in the freezer it should be okay to eat.

yep and we were grateful for it :)

If anything goes a day past the sell by date here in our house, I bin it straight away. No fucking chances being taken there.

Slightly off topic, one of the funniest food-esque threads was a few years ago when Felix wanted to know if he could microwave a whole chicken from frozen and then eat it. Fucking hell!

Any chance of a link to the thread? Sounds a cracking read :)
