Outraged Scousers, who'd have thought?

They might as well shut those 3 stores in Liverpool down. No one does righteous indignation like a scouser, they will set facebook and twitter ablaze and probably the stores too.
Instead of getting angry about Liverpool people being discriminated against, perhaps they should look at the reputation of the City and it's people and try and do something about that before blaming people who don't want anything to do with them.

Like it or not certain accents tend to be stereotyped in our minds. Eg gentle Scottish accents often used in financial/insurance ads because we associate them with financial savy(tightness). Scousers in an ad would make you think of being robbed, therefore not good for the face of a retail outlet trying to place itself as a bastion of good value in the grocery sector. If I was paying three figure to an ad agency I wouldn't want them to assemble a cast that made the finished ad seem like an episode of Jeremy Kyle or boys from the black stuff tbh.

Not everyone in Liverpool is a work shy, candle waving, chicken grieving, murderer, who would rob your house as soon as look at it. However, that stereotype was well earned. They should look at repairing the damage they inflicted on themselves before blaming other people all the time.

They'll get der unions in on this ,and the rep will be a scouser they are all scouse.

I remember a workmate telling me that in the 70s a gang of flying pickets from Liverpool turned up at their site in Manchester. Ricky Tomlinson was one of them and proceeded to threaten everyone who crossed the picket line. A picket line that was fuck all to do with the people on that site. You'd have thought Tomlinson would have learned his lesson after being sent to prison for two years for much the same thing in the early 70s.

What the fuck's Wayne gonna do next season?

P.S. Sorry I spat on a rag at the derby. I know. I did the sociopath test and I was ok. But sorry anyway.

If I want to encounter working-class accents I just have to attend the next home game *

* which I can't as I'm a corporate guest at Villa Park the same afternoon. I'm getting sooooooo hammered.

I hope you're going to take the opportunity to wave your City scarf in one hand and a big wad of money in the other towards the Villa fans. They love waving money at Villa, they're bound to enjoy it.
