How the fuck is Assou-Ekotto overrated? Apart from being derided by the media for three years and Hansen telling the world how shit he thinks he is every week. Parker overrated? Just look at Spurs vs you lot with and without him. Bale will always be hated by some people on this board for some reason. Modric and Walker i can see the point. Walker makes too many defensive mistakes. Modric on the other hand... ignore the stats they don't tell the whole story, he generally bosses games. However, i think he has a habit of going missing in the big games.

GK: Reina (He's pretty much a slightly shorter Gomes these days)
RB: G.Johnson (Seen him get twisted up by part timers whilst playing for england)
LB: Cashley (He WAS the best LB in the world for me, but he has lost a yard)
CB: Terry (Possibly the most overrated player i've ever seen, this generations Butcher)
CB: Cahill (Another English cb with the turning circle of an oil tanker)

RM: Nasri (Moved to City to become "The best player in the world"... It hasn't happened)
LM: Young (decidedly average)
CM: Lampard (goals and thats it, too slow, cant pass forwards)
CM: Barry (Has improved, but i've seen far too many pedestrain games from him at international level)
CF: Suarez (World Class strikers score goals)
CF: Rooney (World class strikers also score goals against world class defences. Anytime Rooney comes against a quality defence he disappears).

Ehm.

Try check Rooney's track record vs Chelsea, Arsenal, Milan, City...

Nah, Rooney's well over-rated. Beneath all the posturing, he doesn't give a fuck about United as illustrated by his transfer request. Just a shame that so many fans of ours (if bluemoon's anything to go by) were willing to sell their arses to sign him.

As for the comments on Samba, the guy's a weapon. I think we should sign him and sack all this tippy-tappy shit off because we're never gonna beat Barca at that game, and just pump it long every time we get the ball for him to nod it home. Route one, English style.

-Michael Carrick....possibly the only player in the world that has never mad a forward pass

- Hernandez....off the ball is good, but not good enough for united IMO
The Carrick bit's quite funny. He's been our best player this season, played well again tonight.

As for Hernandez, he's a good option to bring off the bench, great little impact player with fantastic movement. He's a good plan B, though I'd agree that he's not "good" enough to be in our starting 11. Offers nothing towards our build-up play.

Evra (Was quality but being poor this season yet according to rags is still best left back in the world!)

Rooney (At last some rags I know are finally seeing how inconsistent he is)
Evra has been improving a lot this season. He's been cruising on his pre-2009 reputation for a couple of years now and looked to be seriously on the decline, but he's stepped up recently. On his day, one of the best left backs in the world. Doesn't have as many of his days as he used to, though he's far from vastly overrated.

As for Rooney, he's a fantastic player. What he does have though, for one of the best forwards in the world, is a fucking horrendously low bottom level. His top level is incredibly high, but he can also be incredibly shite.
