I am a guide, I will show you the way
Driving down gorton rd this morning doing thirty or maybe just above, a car over takes me. This has happened a couple of times. This makes me very angry as I feel it is dangerous to pedestrians and cars coming from side roads, because there is chance they would not expect a fast moving vehicle coming from this direction, and also if I was turn you do not expect to be over taken on a single carriage 30 mph rd.

If I was driving very slowly I could understand, I know apart from speeding it is not illegal, but am I right to be annoyed, should I follow the next person who does this and hurt them?

Yes if you fancy getting nicked and spending 12 months inside, just ignore the idiot, once his gone past you he is someone else is problem.

Really don't see the point, you will see them at the next set of traffic lights. Annoying as it is there's nothing you can do.

Happend to me right outside a school once. The worst thing is it was some scrote in a 1litre corsa who didnt have enough power to overtake so I had to brake and let him back in before he had a head on smash

Mirror, signal, manoeuvre. What is so difficult about the "mirror" bit?

Better for the idiot to be in front of you where you can see and avoid them than behind you where they may run into you. Leave them to it, you'll catch them up and pass them whilst they are waiting at the next lights anyway.

The worst thing in this situation is getting annoyed. It will affect your driving. The road is full of fuckin' idiots who shouldn't be anywhere near a steering wheel. Give 'em a little curse and a wish that they head for the nearest brick wall without hurting any innocent parties.

I'm a very careful driver and would never turn without checking, but there is a blind spot and just think it is unnecessarily dangerous. I ride a bike to work (in car today)and over take cars all the time so can see that there are occasions when it is ok to do such, however I would not overtake a car already travelling at the speed limit only when the traffic is moving slowly. The incident today, the driver was clearly impatient with me even though I was travelling at the speed limit and would have had to accelerate well beyond the legal speed in order to over take me. Maybe I have over reacted but think there are enough accidents already without creating completely unnecessary risk. Oh well, I'll get over it.
