Still piss poor for a area the size of Greater Manchester, believe Hamburg is around the same size in population as Gtr Manchester
and yet as urban railway system, a underground system and cross city buses, plus local buses. And Manchester is a building a "second city crossing", The next big transfer in Manchester should be to bring in guys that run and organise the transport system in Hamburg !

I don't disagree, just explaining the reason for it. The clowns who run the transport system, system in a loose term, think that bus lanes are the solution when they actually cause congestion.
