Overhead kick goals for City

Looks very similar to the one I remember Book doing, cheers.
My pleasure ..Who was older at the time ? Must have been Mr Book to be fair . What I like about this is it shows Walker's attitude . It's the Community Shield and he's playing like it matters. That said, it's Liverpool so there's that extra reason right there . Set the tone for the season, just a tragedy that game was when Sane did his ACL , if I remember rightly .

Brian Horton was the opposition manager that night
Pretty sure I remember he kicked the away dressing room door off its hinges in anger afterwards, and had to pay for the damage
Swales probably docked it from his wages later on

I was fortunate that my dad got us tickets just below the royal box. Dennis scored a replica against Sheffield United in the next game. I think it was Tommy Booth again who headed down, but I really can't be certain.

Shortly after the 1976 LCF we scored the same goal against Sheffield United at Maine Road iirc, Donachie down the left, cross in, Booth headed it back across goal & Tueart scored with an overhead kick, Anyone remember it?

Ian Bishop assist?
Bishop didn't arrive until the following summer.

In fact for a "cult hero" Bishop's whole City career was a bit weird with only 4 league wins at Maine Road in his first spell (none away) and none whatsoever in the top flight during his second spell.

He only ever scored 7 goals for City, but 2-3 were quite memorable, and obviously 1 in particular stands the test of time
