Now, i usually hate this kind of stuff!!...BUT i have just been told that we have agreed with Michael Owen to become a city player on the 1st of July. only got told he had, had talks with Hughes but i think he was letting on that he has actually signed a prelim contract!implying he will be used sparingly to gently get him back to his best.

now if it does happen im not too excited about it but would be great as a backup striker, looks like studge out and owen in!!

you can put me on the list as this person has been right bfore with Given 3 days prioir to the press (but i didnt believe him) and also a couple of other Newc rumours and some funny insider stories!

Its not really a new story... I think it was back in january that the press was on about that Owen would sign for city in July...

I don't really know what to say, I guess that he would be awesome if he found his old Liverpool/madrid form and could get rid of his injuries... but otherwise he would be on the bench or in the stands most of the times...

I know with all this land we are buying meant to be for training facilities, if Owen comes to City with the likes of Benjani and Johnson, they would be better building a fecking hospital.

What on earth is the point?????

He WILL be injured for 95% of the season, you can bank on it. With Bellamy and his arthritic knees (not to mention Boj's form in this department, nor Benjanis) the last thing we need is another injury prone striker. Sorry, change that. Another injury-dead-cert striker.

no thanks, with bellamy, bojinov and owen and there injury problems we can do without owen, hes to injury prone and his best days are behind him.

He might just be worth having as a marketing tool to get support overseas where Owen is still highly rated. He might also become a useful striker coach for Caiceido and co.
