Said it here a few weeks back this man is the real deal. Did a great job with Burnley and look what's happened to them since. Has been fantastic at Bolton, his sides are well organized and play good attacking football. He's now premier league proven and could do wonders with the resources. IF RM was to go I'd have him.

Wait till the end of the season to properly judge him.

i could think of worse shouts but could he tempt the creme dela creme

Also, Moyes has done a good job at Everton and McLeish at Brum, why is it the Scottish managers seem better than English?

That my friend is an incredible assessment. Can you imagine the Sheikh doing that? Really can you?

Coyle is doing a fantastic job at Bolton and did one at Burnley, but to say he is "the real deal" is jumping the gun, in order to succeed at this club you are going to need every aspect of football management down to a tee because this club wants to win everything in the long term, I'm confident Mancini can set us of on our way given the time.

I don't think Coyle would however, this is a complete different world to what he's used to.

Compare Mancini's SEVEN major trophies to Coyles Burnley 6th place finish in the Coca Cola Championship and a promotion, I fail to see how Owen Coyle is anywhere near a good enough to manage a club such as Manchester City.

Another manager with the "fight to survive mentality" 10th by christmas.

Let's see how Bolton do if they have Robinson and Steinson out for three months. At the same time as Davis out for three months and Elmander out for a month and going back to his home country. At the same time as his third striker is well out of form and picking up odd injuries here and there!

That's what we've had to deal with!

His win percentage has actually decreased club on club, this tells me the bigger the challenge he has gone to the harder he finds it.

Saying this though, I like his football, comes across ok and was managed under Bruce Rioch - maybe he's learnt from the master.

Indeed! And I'm sure the likes of Prestwich Blue and Didsbury Dave would say the same to this argument, so why don't they with the Mancini argument?

Encourages his teams to play and generally has an attacking philosophy, which is a huge plus in my book. He will probably be limited by his resources at Bolton, so it is pointless comparing him with Mancini.

Next job will be Everton/Villa level i imagine. If he proves himself at that kind of club, then he can start being talked about for top jobs.

Laughable, we have a limitless amount of money, possibly the strongest squad in the league and you try to make weak excuses. Either RM wins something this season or finishes in the top 4 or he will be history. No excuses, every other team in the division have to deal with injuries, suspensions and prima donna footballers.

A few weeks ago everyone was saying good things about di matteo, where are they now?

Correct they'll finish between 10th and 6th and they'll be happy with that

Bit harsh, we've spent hundreds of millions & many on here would be happy with 4th
