Nope, the only time i have seriously doubted Hughes, and possibly wanted him to leave, is when we got beat 3-0 by Forrest

not me, always pleased that we have hughes.
Same here. Always backed him, even in the dark days post Brighton, Stoke, Forest, Pompey etc.

fuck me the board went into complete melt down after them games. think there were only about four of us who supported hughes.

always backed hughes and thoug he needed at least 2 seasons. we need stability instgead of random managers coming in and repleacing the squad AGAIN

We definitely need stability, but we need success even more. Hughes has to prove himself, by achieving. Not an anti Hughes post just far too early to judge.

yes but no fan can expect a manager to waltz in ala mourinho and just win trophies, especially with playes like danny mills on your books. i was of the opinion that if we are not competing near the top after 2 seasons he would go, but we are so i don't. simples

I backed Croatia throughout the Euros mainly because I put in a tenner with 10 of my mates, they played some great football. However no, I never wanted Bilic to replace Hughes...

Martin Jol
Jose Mourinho
Gus Hiddink

...all class, proven managers, whom I'd gladly see as Manchester City manager if Hughes got sacked.

Tell me about it. I felt like King Canute trying to turn back the tide! Jeez it was hard work being a Hughes fan back then. He was about as popular as Gary Glitter at a Santa's grotto. Er; allegedly, your honour!

my reasons for backing hughes throughout are.

1, the starting point he inherited was dire beyond belief.
2, he had done very well with blackburn, no mean feat.
3, work ethic, love his industry, it will pay off.
4, no embarrassing media/sex shit, the guy is straight as a die.
5, stability, we were and are desperate to see a project through, we have gained absolutly nothing over 30 of chopping and changing.

all that said, as its now his squad i expect the progress we've made to pay, sooner rather than later, please.

brighton and forest were all down to the players and the fact that they had to work hard in training for a change.some did'nt like that, especially the smokers i reckon.
