That’s why I think health insurance is so important before owning your own home The one thing no one knows is how your. over 60 years will go.
The NHS is on its knees near me we can’t rely on it still being there. It’s turning into an emergency service only.
Even young people end up in long term care if you have any savings or assets you have to pay.

3 marriages, 2 divorces, 1 mistress, 12 mortgages... Just paid off house and living mortgage free at 60.
Massive financial burden lifted. Wife retired at 60. I carry on but choose to. Would have had a nicer house without divorces but have a nicer wife and life instead...

In my experience the biggest financial burden is lifted when you divorce. I’ve never met a woman yet who doesn’t like spending money.
