Pablo Osvaldo

Another transfer window that is slowly turning into a farce.

I can see us slipping further away from the title again this year without any proper players being brought in. The players we are being linked with recently would be good signings for west brom (Even Anelka would have been more worthwhile) but for a title challenging team they are not the correct players.

We have become Arsenal.
 
It depends on what the top brass tell the player before we sign him imo. If they promised Osvaldo he would be a regular then we renege on that then he will more than likely kick up a stink. If he was told he would only be a back up but he still signed for us then he should not be under any illusions.
 
I know very little about Osvaldo though he did play in Spain with Espanyol so Manuel and Txiki will be familiar with him.

If he is signing as well as Negredo then Dzeko must be off (possibly to Napoli if they offer realistic money). I assume we will be selling Dzeko as he has 2 years to run on his deal and we want to avoid a similar situation to Tevez.

It's true that the likes of Negredo and Osvaldo aren't huge names and the signings have come from left field they both appear to have about a 1 goal every two games for the last 3 seasons. It would appear they are being pursued to try to fix the chronic lack of goals from our forwards last season.
 
Isn't Guidetti the back up player?

We can't justify having more than 2/3 top forwards - CFC managed with 1 stroke 2 and were in a lot more games than we were.

Agree with others. If we sign Negredo And Osvaldo then that implies Dzeko will go, and maybe Guidetti will go out on loan?
 
Believe me I want the best, I trust in the new regime but please this guy is gash, with a capital G!!

Balotelli's twice the player Osvaldo is, at least with Balotelli there's the hope you have of getting a peno, he's a poor mans Tevez, runs about a lot and has long hair apart from that he's fucking dog turd, I can name 30 strikers in the Premiership I'd have before him.
