They are quite funny sometimes. I liked the Liverpool one when they gave up a 10 point lead over City. There's others too. They also had the Rhodri Giggs one, digging out the 'family man'

Oh they do. This is specifically part of their marketing. It's all deliberate, this pretence that they don't care who they offend. It's clever, no question about it.

Yep; pretty much all of the "big" clubs have been on the receiving end of some savage digs. The rags have been manna from heaven for them this last few years in particular. Ditto the Tarqs.

Which bookies do you have in mind?

In my experience all the major bookmakers are like peas in a pod. Individuals will obviously have individual tales to tell about bad experiences with specific firms. But if you look at the bigger picture, they all operate in a very uniform manner.

I find a lot of their "banter" is just the same old gags done to death on repeat. It can raise a smirk but it's not exactly imaginative. City = charges. Rags = shit (ok that one never gets old). Everton = points deductions. Chelsea = constantly buying players/PSR loopholes. Might get them a few clicks and comments from the red shirt fans on Twitter, but it's not exactly comedy genius.
