Palace (A) Post Match Thread

Not quite at the races today. i was going to compliment palace for at least giving it a go, but after Zaha's dirty dive and Puncheon's horror tackle, palace can fuck right off. Great save by Ederson though, to keep the unbeaten run going. Sane and Ferna both on 5 yellows, so miss the watford game. This Christmas period is absolutely barmy!

Hmmm, I guess that depends on whether you consider limping off the field with help from two physios after a potential season ender as “OK”?

I would say Tuesday is too soon, and the weekend may well be, too.

He looked ok. No sign of limping, just groggy and bruised and battered. Probably rest him for Watford and the cup game then he’ll be back

Not going to focus on the hack job in my post. We all feel the same.

For me and I've said it all season, Gundogan isn't up to the level needed to drive this team. That performance was utter shite. We were crying out for someone to take hold of the game in the middle. Two things negated us. Gundogan doing sweet fuck all just mincing around at jogging pace and Bernardo Silva hugging a touchline they wanted him to have. The difference in how Sterling went inside compared to Silva was huge.

Both of those players need to seriously step up. Fucking passengers.

Complete agreement.

Gundogan is clearly a nice fella but he offers us zero and is probably costing Bernardo much-needed minutes to show he can actually be of use in the middle.

Sadly when Silva isn't available and Kev has an off day, there is no one else good enough to provide that little bit of magic or quality that can make the difference in the final third .....Bernardo and Gundogan are good players in their own right but just can't compare to KDB/Merlin

Raheem to be fair made a slight difference when he came on

Sane completely ineffective but zero support from Danilo ....made me realise just how much we have missed Mendy and the extra dimension he brings. Can't be long off returning?

Walker class against an in form Zaha

And Ederson yet again steps up when it matters

In the context of the saved pen and the Townsend miss, not a bad point.

Kev’s gonna be fine. i’ve watced it back and he just gets leatherd in the shins/calves; thats not how you break a leg or get knee ligament damage.

brusing maybe and a game or two out.

more concerned about Jesus - i think it will be a knee ligament strain

I think you are right about Jesus and Pep has already said he looks like missing 2 months.

It could be worse depending on whether is torn or not.

I think the owners already will be in touch with Arsenal this time knowing that Arsenal have a replacement for Sanchez lined up.

Such a shame about Kev and Jesus.

Yet again, we’re only half the team without Spanish Dave. So we’re now without both creative dynamos.

Lacklustre performance from pretty well everyone; Walker excepted (plus Eddie for the pen). But well done Palace for a spirited show.

Oh well, can’t complain about the season we’re having and we remain undefeated in the league. Pleased too to see the total contrast in Pep v Mourinho’s response to a setback.

Onward and upward next game. Bring on Watford.

Puncheons tackle was Sunday league, late, high and dangerous. So glad we didn't lose our unbeaten record to the dodgiest of pens.Moss was so incompetent it was untrue , he let their wankstain fans ref the game.

Bad day at the office in regards injuries and suspensions with both Sane and Dinho also not available against Watford due to.picking up yellows.

Jesus injury will probably force the Sanchez transfer

Bernardo and gundogan really need to start and come to the party. Neither have done anything of any note in the games they have started. Will give the benefit to Bernardo as playing wide right doesn’t suit him

That's two non-penalties given against us in the dying moments, as if the official can wait to even up the fact we are so dominant.

Sergio has no excuse. He's playing like a smacked arse.

Him, Sane, Gundogan and Bernardo completely ineffectual, to the point of passive or indifferent.

We so badly need the intensity Sanchez Cam bring, albeit, hate now paying a premium for it.
Agree to some extent - Sergio looks a little flat which is not good, Sane just off form, Bernardo struggling to find a position in the team and is trying too hard - keep it simple lad. I thought Gundogan did well and was trying to make late runs into the box. Having said that I don't mind the result what makes me sick is the United and Arsenal fans on twitter hoping Kevin is paralysed, same folks who were hoping Merlin had cancer - Is this where we are now? It's so sad. Finally the late tackle from behind today was terrible and anyone who has played the game knows that it was a cynical attempt to seriously injure a fellow professional. More worried for Jesus as I think he was so upset because it could be knee ligaments which puts his World Cup at risk. Sanchez would definitely help as he is a master at getting refs on his side plus he's got something different. Guess we have to accept that we are so good they all hate us!

Moss was a complete and utter disgrace. The longer the game went on the more i was recognising that this ref wanted to give Palace a chance to win.

Absolute disgrace of that profession and needs to be sacked altogether
