Palace (A) Post Match Thread

Disappointing result but crazy how many people are flipping out. 10 more wins out of 18 will comfortably win the league. Hopefully we can do it before the business end of the champions league kicks in. Anyone bitching and slagging players off after literally one under par performance might want to consider a less expensive way of not enjoying themselves as it honestly won't ever get better than the past six months.

I think that’s the tackle that’ll spur referees to action sooner in our future games. Glad De Bruyne’s okay.

(I’m an optimist.)

Most of the midifeld/attacking players were awful. So many bad passes, hit too strong, not being able to handle balls, wrong runs, lack of runs, some awful shots, none of our freekicks could beat the wall. Nothing from corners. Only real good chance was when Walker had a nice run put in insode for Kdb who hit the defender with a semi-weak shot instead of a bomb to the side...

Bit angry that 2 days ago Arsenal came here and won 3-2 with missing some chances. Palace had one day less to relax.

It was a bad day at the office for Pep as well, his formation didnt work until he changed it, and none of creative players had any good spell. Maybe a good 15 minutes we had from around 60th minute. thats just not enough. Walker was our best because he was dominant and strong against Zaha thats it.
Danilo on the left offered zero threat going forward. We need Mendy very much.

Anyway, 14 points lead still huge, make sure we beat Watford because Liverpool away will be very tricky after that , play like today there and we gonna get punished.

Happy New Year!

Great post.

High time there were more doing the same, including ex-players and managers.
as people have replied, its ok to call puncheon out, where was he when kane and ali made worse challenges, having seen the tackle on kdb I would say kane and that Newcastle players were worse, but alis was 10 times worse all 4 are deserved red cards.

I watched the match on tv and all the presenters agreed that Zaha dived for the penalty. Graham poll said firmly that Zaha should be banned for diving. But just read the BBC report and no mention of a dive or possible retrospective ban. In fact, it is described as a foul by sterling. Very poor and false reporting by BBC.

Justice done with penalty being saved and hopefully this will inspire team and confidence will not be affected.
