Palace (A) Post Match Thread

Stand to be corrected but I think Saha could only be done if they’d have scored the pen

The dive has to lead to a match changing decision and seeing as it was saved it wasn’t match changing

Anyway it doesn’t benefit us in any way at all if he gets a ban now. Not sure if they’ve got games against any of the top 6 coming up but if they have we want him in
I thought the dive had to lead to an advantage being gained. Which it did with the award of the pen.

Absolutely ridiculous refereeing decisions. First the penalty which almost cost us a point and then the leg breaker on de Bruyne it’s getting to a point where you have to say enough is enough some one needs a red card given to them this could be a costly injury he gets no protection from refs!!! FUMING!!!!

Palace yet again kick their way through a game and everyone says well done to them girls having a go! Their only shot on target was the penalty. We looked tired today which is hardly surprising given the amount of games we have played the last eight weeks. Stones back fit will help as will Delph. Hopefully David will be back for Watford which will give someone else a rest. As for Puncheon he should be in front of a magistrate for ABH. The FA need to do something and quickly although I won't be holding my breath

Not read the whole thread, just last 20 pages, but surprised that people haven’t made comment about the pitch - completely Palace’s prerogative of course, but it was not watered and left massively bumpy after their game against the arse, consequently very difficult to play slick passing and people couldn’t trust their first touch.

On to the players, Gundogan just not doing enough, thought the Spurs performance meant he’d turned a corner, but a passenger again today. Bernardo isn’t a winger, he needs to be playing inside and leave the wingers to do their stuff.

Walker was a beast, Nico and Mangler did well, Eddie did his stuff. Nothing else to really discuss.

Puncheon’s a cûnt and he now sits alongside Alli and Kane in me wishing ill on them for the rest of their careers.

Just back from the game, it was 'difficult' to watch it sitting among a home crowd, extremely poor performance that feels like we almost lost it. The first 15 minutes looked like another routine victory, our lads were in a full voice, their crowd was very quiet and then it somehow turned into very bad day in the office. Mental fatigue and total lack of focus. KW in the first half and Leroy throughout were shockingly poor. Actually, I still cannot believe how poor Leroy has been today. We were making wrong decisions in every segment of the game and I am worried if Merlin's absence continues - KdB will get done in one or another way. We need some respite, or a few sunny days at least for fuck sake.

Good to hear KDB will be ok. Massive relief.
Jesus best case scenario would be medial collateral ligament sprain with 4 weeks recovery period. Fingers crossed.
In a strange way these injuries could turn out a positive factor if they accelerate the Sanchez deal. This is now v likely.
More positivity is the continued emergence of Ederson as a world class keeper. In fact the whole defensive unit did a great job today. In seasons past we would have definitely lost this type of game.
1 point gained and onto the next.

Disappointing result but crazy how many people are flipping out. 10 more wins out of 18 will comfortably win the league. Hopefully we can do it before the business end of the champions league kicks in. Anyone bitching and slagging players off after literally one under par performance might want to consider a less expensive way of not enjoying themselves as it honestly won't ever get better than the past six months.

Absolutely. We’ve got the biggest buffer any team has ever had in the PL at this stage of the year - with the possible exception of Chelsea’s 16 point gap after 22 games in 2006 - and have given ourselves shit loads of leeway as a result. We were always going to drop points eventually and although Liverpool away will be tricky in a couple of weeks, our other 3 league games in the next sequence of 4 are Watford, Newcastle, and West Brom all at home.

Second(as my first has been ignored....) and final warning.

C'mon guys,i'm as angry as any of you in regards the challenges/injuries our players are suffering but this forum has a code of conduct and wishing injury on others breaches such.

Anything further will result in action being taken,so please dont invite such.Cheers

Kyle Walker was poor ? Was your view obstructed?

Too much depends on Kev, Dave and Raheem. I would like to see Bernardo, Gundo, and Sane in particular show more end product than they are doing recently. Tiredness should certainly not be a problem for those three. Palace never really looked like scoring until they were awarded a fake penalty. Thought Ota and Kyle were very good again. Puncheon's challenge was premeditated and vicious. Do that on the street and you would be banged up. The standard of refereeing is simply appalling. I have no doubt the club will be talking (again) behind the scenes and pointing out just how bad it has been. Something way wrong when you look at the level of protection afforded to Hazard in particular.

I really did have a funny feeling about this game the resurgence of Palace but the lack of goals from our front two concerned me more as proved all so without silva we really do drop slightly still unbeaten and sitting comfortably at the top that will do me going into the new year.
