One problem with the digital ticketing (particularly for away games) is that very occasionally the technology falls down and if the ticket isn't in your own name, it's hard to rectify e.g. with the ticket office at the ground. There needn't have been any scamming.

I just looked into this and I actually was a middle man

I sent the ticket to Olly after receiving it from someone else. I will call them tomorrow to see what has happened

There were issues with some tickets yesterday. My ticket wouldn't work so had to go to ticket office, who said it had already been used at the gate (it hadn't). Anyhow, they gave me a printed ticket (the away ticket office had no printer! So had to wait for one to be collected from the home ticket office on the other side of the ground). The City representative I spoke with confirmed there had been issues with some tickets, as rows of seats had been assigned to the wrong people. Obviously not all were resolved.
