palacios still wants city

Would prefer him to De Jong if I'm honest.

Not sure, no doubt Palacios is a very good player and I don't know too much about De Jong, but people are telling me he is top class.

What I can't understand is why he'd want to move to Spurs in the first place? They were bottom of the league yesterday whereas Bruce is building a pretty good side at Wigan.

I can understand him joining like Arsenal, us or United.. but Spurs? Surely Wigan have the same UEFA Cup aspirations as Spurs do? The CL boat sailed a long time ago for Spurs.

I only saw him at the Euro's and he was very good along with Engelaar but Palacios has Prem experience and is top class in my opinion.

Let's just sign both.

Why would he sign for anybody else?

He's only on £10K a week at Wigan, he'd be on 30K a week at Spurs and 40K a week if he came to us!

Talk of Wigan offering a new deal at 20k a week to stay, and letting him go in the summer when even better offers might be tabled.

I'd take both, De Jong is cup tied for Uefa Cup where as Palacios wont be.

Somebody on here the other day said not every player is subject to the cup tied rule in the Uefa Cup. You can play a limited number of players who have played for someone else in the competition already. It was originally said with respect to Kaka's Uefa Cup status.
