De jong is talanted and would be a good signing but Palacious would cost no more, is talanted, young, local and has prem experience. I cant see us buying two string holding midfielders as I get the impression Kompany will hely cover defence when required but doesnt seem to want to play there regularly. More likely we would get another centre back!! I think

I agree with that...Lescott, Albiol and even Terry are names being branded about.

I still have a sneaky feeling that if Kaka signs it'll open the door for Villa and Albiol to sign.

Incidentally, what is the situation with Valencia signing Palacios from Boca?
