Can’t really look past Reijnders for man of the match but thought Cherki and Nico G was very good 1st half.

I think a mixture of both half’s lineups will be the starting 11 moving forward.

I’m so excited now for the season, I think the new Pep will be absolutely critical in everything we do. Watching the open training and last night, he looks like he has more of a prominent role than Juanma Lillo or any of the others had.

Ait Nouri - skillful - But why is he dribbling so often? And he drifts into mid and starts dribbingling. Nouri is very good on the ball, but he seems to wander into mid and... attempts to dribble in dangerous situations where clearing the ball is first priority. Not a fan.

Cherki - obviously skillful, but what was his passing percentage? He had a few nice ideas passing that did not work out - and he had numerous ideas that weren't so good that didn't work out. Clearly he's super talented - but for me, he often gave the ball away and didn't produce a great end product.

On the plus side - Reijnders is class.

TL/DR - Nouri is a skillful dribbler who attempts to dribble when simply clearing the ball is better; Cherki has talent in abundance but his simple passes don't seem super accurate and his killer passes don't work out often enough. He gives the ball away too often.

I'm worried that Ait Nouri and CHerki won't work out.

Hard to pick.
John Boy, Reijnders, Khus, Cherki, Oscar all could make a decent case. Reijnders the most eye catching but John showed why he is the best ball playing CB in the PL when he is fit so I will vote for him.

Fair point, I can see him drifting out of position and us being caught on the counter. I'm sure Pep will have that sorted out though.
