OK - who was one and what stories are there knocking about, im sure there are a few!

I always had a paper round, wherever i lived, pretty much all morning rounds because i didn't like the evening rounds, too much going on like playing footie for the school etc!

Worst one was the one i had when i lived in Milnrow, with Wednesday and Saturdays a nightmare because thats when the Rochdale Observer came out and it was the heaviest paper i have ever seen! Saturdays was huge and the newsagent (Keith Aspinall) used to take my second bag up to 1/2-way my round (up Kiln Lane!!) and drop it off.

Loved it though and had some good laughs and great stories !!

A customer grassed me in when he saw me nicking a dirty mag off the top shelf. I denied it but the ironic thing is I hid under a holly bush near our house and when I returned for it later some thieving twat had had it. I denied nicking it but the owner knew better.
Sundays round was the worst, all sport and colour suppliments.

A jealous customer grassed me in when he saw me nicking a dirty mag off the top shelf. I denied it but the ironic thing is I hid under a well chosen holly bush, adequate protection for my stolen scud, or so I thought, near our house and when I returned for it later some thieving twat had had it so I had to make do with the Kays catalogue....Again. I denied nicking it but the owner knew better...wearing stilts to work was a dead giveaway looking back, so was the small step ladder the week before if I'm honest.
Sundays round was the worst, all sport and colour supplements. Still, the Sunday papers were full of scantily clad celebs with the odd visible nipple, so it was swings and roundabouts really...I only retired last year..
Edited....:)

Did a round for several years, half the village on week days then the whole village on Saturday mornings with a money belt on too, collecting payment.

I sold broken biscuits/sweets, crisps and snide fizzy pop at break time instead. Much more profitable and no 5am alarm clock needed.
