Paper p**ck

All agenda nonsense aside, what did you seriously think they would say in relation to that supposed gaff? If you thought the papers would ignore it then you are naive. It doesn't take anything away from the win for anyone, but of course they were going to pick up on it, they would whoever had said it from any club. That's what the press do.
True

It will just give us even more pleasure the day we win the CL and ram it down their raggy necks.
Screw the lot of 'em!

You don't expect the papers to ignore it - you also don't expect the papers to make it the main focus of their coverage, with most of them ignoring the details and achievement of our result. There's been very little praise and analysis of our win by the gutter press, who have instead tried to belittle City. They are a disgrace.

I say with 100% certainty had our neighbours been in the exact situation, the focus would be on their incredible comeback at the home of the world's greatest club side - who were unbeaten there for 9 months.

They are always like that though. If Spurs, Utd or whoever had been involved in a similar incident it would have been exactly the same

I love the fact that they're going as if it would have been an easy thing to score a fourth against Bayern.

Nobody is saying it would have been easy, and it probably wouldn't have happened - but to not know the rules is embarrassing.

The effort from the team for the last 78 mins was remarkable, the effort of the management after the 3rd goal was a shambles.

Well said.
Probably the result of the season nicely glossed over.
Looking forward to a completely refreshed Aguero on Saturday myself....

I don't think there's much to complain about.

After all, if we'd lost in Munich we'd have said "well, it wasn't really competitive given both teams had already qualified". That said, we can't win and then pretend it's the most important result ever. Don't get me wrong, it was a great result for us, but not as earth-shattering as a 4:2 win would have been.

And I found it pretty weird that we didn't press for a fourth goal, too. You can hardly blame the media for pointing this out...

Exactly,no one is saying the gaff over not knowing another goal had us top should not be mentioned, but i have never in my time watching, listening or reading about football, that the english media would not be backing an ENGLISH team come back from 2 down to beat the champions of europe 3.2,the bias is there for all to see,as you say imagine if thats the rags, the wankfest would have been in overdrive wall to wall coverage.Wonder what it would be like if we are the only english club left after round of 16 (highly unlikely i know)...

I agree it would have always been reported no matter who it happened to but can you not see the lack of credit we're getting for beating Bayern away with an under strength side?

Had to laugh, ready yesterday's sun column about our game, where it states we had to win by three clear
goals to top the group. Haven't read todays, but hope they're NOT taking the piss.
