Such a shame Stefan Kuntz wasn't playing, now that would have been a great headline

'You dirty Kuntz'
haha reminded me of the frank skinner song 3 lions vid they wore 11 Kuntz on the back of the german shirts
Didn't the sun or the mirror do a headline along the lines of "the kuntz have done it" after the euro 96 semi?

Germany have nothing but Kuntz upfront...

Pathetic over-reaction by a Club renowned for its institutionalised, domineering arrogance.

How far do they take this - potential fines running into thousands of Euro's for Ric if we post nasty things about them on BM? Some possible thread-lines.......

Robben bastards
Red, red Schwein
Munichs Mullered
U Boateng'd
Rack-off Lahm

It translates as "success", you should try it, you may even like it.

Perhaps you should use a different translation tool, you might learn something.

There's no need to call him a tool.

Fuck me, are we bitter about any other clubs?

Can someone please let me know who the equivalent of the Rags are in the following countries, just so I know who to be bitter about:

1. Spain.
2. Italy.
3. Holland.
4. Brazil.
5. Argentina.
6. Scotland.

......oh, and while we're at it:

London

A decent last post.

I assumed you'd be able to see it was a flippant, "we couldn't care less reply" being as both comments were obviously in english. I was simply pointing out that I don't get upset by jibes, whining and banter from other club's fans. The more successful you get the more of it you get, it comes with the territory.

Great post.

Some people just don't seem to get the fact that if say, City were to dominate the prem for 5 years other English fans would contemptously be describing foreign clubs as the "German/Spanish/Italian City" or some derogatory nickname for City.
It's childish school playground stuff.

No I get that entirely, what I don't get is playing the old Ferguson card of banning the journalists from the 2nd leg. Those kind of tabloid headlines, designed to appeal to their typical readers, also come with the territory right?

London Arsenal, but Spurs like to think it's them.

I have to say I've never quite shared the hatred for Bayern that many of my fellow blues clearly have.

To describe them as the rags of Germany is not without some merit, but I can't bring myself to dislike them too much as a club.

I've seen City play there twice in the ECL and enjoyed the whole experience greatly on both occasions.

If I was good enough and young enough and I could play for any two teams on the continent then Bayern would be one of them, Barca the other.

I'd choose Ac milan, have you seen their physio?

How is it abusive to use a pun on someone's name? "Swine" is right up there with "scoundrel" and "numpty" in its level of abusiveness.

When I first worked in Germany it struck me not so much how the fans of other Clubs ( Dortmund, Cologne, Gladbach, Schalke etc) disliked Munich, but why. Their reasoning was exactly the same as to why a lot of people in the UK despise the rags. And a clue for non-City fans tuning-in, they were no more jealous of Bayern's success than we are of the rags (that's to say, perhaps just a little). So you could attribute their dislike to a sense of resentment of your success, and you could suggest that the same attitudes will prevail when City becomes the dominant force domestically here in England. But anyone who thinks that's all there is to it, then they're missing the point entirely (and perhaps conveniently). I think our ambitions go beyond just being the next Manchester United.
