CAS…what can I say?Absolutely ridiculous.
Wonder if the USA put forward that the decision is NOT a sporting decision, but a “2 wrongs make a right” decision!?!
The Judges were wrong in their basic job.
The Coaches were believed to be wrong because their realization and subsequent challenge to the Judges mistake was 4 seconds late.*
Those two wrongs have created the “right” that the JUDGES’ ERROR STANDS!!
How can THAT be the lesson CAS wants to be the takeaway from a lifetime of sporting endeavor?
I hate to say it, lest it appear biased, but now that the Romanian woman has got over her initial shock and the tears it elicited, how can she EVER look at that Bronze medal and feel like she EARNED AND DESERVED IT ON SPORTING MERIT?
She won it because of a Judging ERROR. She was not the 3rd best gymnast that day in the competitive arena.
Too bad SPORTING ABILITY isn’t the main things anymore.
*The USOC says not only were they denied the ability to mount a defence to the medal removal, but their original challenge was made after 47 seconds, based on time stamped video evidence.

Agree mate. We were robbed of a couple of Golds. The shooting where she hit the target, but judges decision stands and Adam Peaty touching first but not ‘registering’CAS…what can I say?
