Not over of course - they showed against Bayern they are capable of going away and getting result, but that will do for now.

its far from over but bayern plays kamikaze football, citys defense was spot on, very solid outside of that corner kick

Nah lets win it and have the scousers win their match and there we go we win the league, easy sleep until Tuesday.
 
Talk about a game of two halves. That was a prime example. If we’d got a third, it would be all over now, and we could all have relaxed next Tuesday.
 
We need to rest this team against Palace.

Steffen, Cancelo, Laporte, Ake, Mendy, Fernandinho, Doyle, Sterling, Cole Palmer, Aguerro, Jesus.
Paris have to play at the weekend giving us a much fresher rested team for the return game on Tuesday. If we lose at Palace it won’t matter, although that team is capable of winning against a team in holiday mode now.
 
Don’t buy the narrative that we should have taken advantage of the extra man by scoring another goal. Would have been nice but it did allow us to see out the last ten minutes more comfortably so we did gain from it.
Think we improved when cancelo went off. Just doesn’t seem to be coming off for him at the moment. Understand logic that he is faster in defending.
Plenty still to play for against this team of divers.

Exactly. With the threat they had it would have been ridiculous to chase it. What made us successful in the second was the process of slow build up, not sure why we would move away from that approach.
 
PSG were spent after 30 mins. We were out on our feet after about 90 mins . That's a huge gap.

Composure came back as PSG sat back from the very first moment of the second half due to their tiredness. The players could sense that they'd busted their guts shortly after getting ahead after a set piece that we should have defended better .
They will go all out next game as they've no option. That opens the spaces for us to exploit. But expect us to spread the play back and forth and out wide and tire them again and again . Pep will play same way . I expect Stirling at some point to get some game time.

What a win .
