It's not the Sterling thread but he has been poor for a long time. Any right minded football supporter would accept this as the truth. If he plays well tonight I will say so, if he doesn't I will also say so. That is what post match threads are for.10 goals in the Prem and 1 in the CL last season, but not only that his work rate on and off the ball was up there with anyone in the team.
He 100% contributed to our title win.
If people don't like it tough it's always been the case. Asking someone to play somewhere near the standard they are paid for is not unreasonable.
Players need to earn their place.
