Paris Saint-Germain (H) - CL SF | Post-Match Thread

While it may not have been our most serene and slick performance, you could argue that it was our best ever performance in the context of it being against an elite and mega talented team - the team that knocked Bayern out.
True, but for some reason I preferred the tie against Madrid last season. And in individual games beating the reigning champions 6-1 in their own back yard 9 seasons ago. And beating the reigning champions 4-1 in their own back yard 4 months ago. - Both of whom profess to be "European royalty".

I have never seen a City team defend like we did tonight.
Because you’ve never seen a city team that can defend!
Pep used to boast that he didn’t teach defending, but the Premier League has taught him that you have to.
The commentators mentioned during the game that we were set up to defend like teams defend against us and they were absolutely right. We regularly had every player behind the ball and hit on the counter ourselves. Helps when you have a goalkeeper who can effortlessly pop the ball 70 yards up the pitch to beat the press!

First you've got to find your heads again... as you well and truly lost them all during the game.

A minor miracle that no City players were injured.

Shame we didn't have Nigel de Jong and Otamendi to bring on for the last 10 mins to act as security.
Herrera's a gobby little so and so. If you're going to be so gobby, you'd better deliver with the ball at your feet. Herrera doesn't.
