Ha ha!! Just finished 10 hrs 47.

No managed to do it in 34.12 but I am in bloody agony the back of my ankles. Feel like my Achilles is going to snap. I am not doing it in proper running trainers just did it in an old pair of nike air so I am hoping it is just my trainers and I don't have weak ankles.

Any runners on here ever suffered from this. I beat my last time by a good ten minutes and am hoping one day to do it under 30 mins.

I think it's a great event and would highly recommend it. ( providing I can walk tomorrow)

Cheers mate. - does this pain mean humans have a design flaw and we should be born wearing a pair of karrimoor trainers!!?? This pain is something else.

DO NOT buy karrimoor trainers

I did 28 minutes 42 seconds by my watch this morning at Worsley Woods Park Run.

Were you there WorsleyWeb?

Hi mate - 31 mins and 23 seconds. Position 189!

Slowly getting a bit better. Say hi next time. I have a city hoody on like a chav!

I did my first Park Run yesterday morning at Wythenshawe. Really well organised, nice and friendly, and most importantly, FREE.

Only thing that put me off doing that one again was running past the farm - the manure stench wasn't great when I was struggling to catch my breath

Highly recommended though

City colours compulsory for any blues :)

From your description I think I might have passed you just after the fist flight of steps after you leave the railway line.

I will definitely let on next time.

Well done on continuously improving and keeping it going.

You saying I look like a chav!!!!

You could have been one of many who passed me. I tend to start off too fast and then end up shattered and walking for a bit. Going to try and pace myself a bit more next week. Nothing worse than a sixteen stone granny overtaking you.

I tend to put myself at the very back of the field at the start and then attempt to work my way past people throughout the run.

I'm mentally weak and prefer the feeling of passing people than being passed if you know what i mean.

Get yourself a garmin! Best purchase you will make, obviously apart from proper running trainers.

I was looking out for you this morning WorsleyWeb but didn't see you, was you there?

I managed 28m 35s exactly the same time as last week - everyone tells me that's okay for a 50 year old who prefers drinking to exercising!

Was he not there !!!! Lightweight

He did have 10 pints last night ;o)

Hi - sadly couldn't do it today. Pulled my hamstring last Monday at football and still very tender. Back soon. That's an amazing time for someone your age, I have yet to beat 30 mins.

Oh and I had ten pints last night, will catch you in a couple of weeks hopefully,

Danbert - going to give it a go tomorrow if you are doing it. I will be the one looking a complete c...t. if you fancy running it together.

Grey school socks, reebok trainers, whatever shorts I can find in the morning and a city hoody. I will stand quite near the back and use your hare and the tortoise technique this week.
