Haven't driven there before always gone on a coach - any good parking places not too far from the ground, don't mind a bit of a walk to avoid the traffic around the ground.

Thanks

I usuaally get the train into Witton but have paeked just down the road from Perry Barr dog track before. About a 15 minutes walk to the ground.

That's where we park. There are a few small car parks on Aston Lane.
Best bet is to leave the M6 at J7 but the route round the dog track to Aston Lane can get a bit tricky so check a map before relying on a sat nav.

Although I admit I've been on a coach every time I've been .....on the escort away though I've seen plenty of blues parked on roads near the ground.

Theres a PowerLeague 5-a-side place just off the M6 which is easy for getting away. About 15 minutes walk up to the ground and £5 to park.

For next year ;-)

Was going to go there but missed the turning on Lichfield Road so carried on to Aston Hall Road to turn around. Instead we pulled up onto the grass banking there - lots of space and no parking restrictions. Also plenty little further on - Priory Road. Word of warning though, it gets turned into one way after the match so if you're pointing the way you entered the road you'll be stuck for a while ;-)

Took us about 10 minutes to get from there to motorway at J6

Happy days, managed to find the last free on street parking space just before I was about to pay my £5.

Did any other drivers notice that interesting experiment they were conducting on the motorways? On some short stretches they had increased the speed limit from 50mph to 70mph. Hope it takes off.
