Parking Eye

Appreciate the Information. How the owners of these companies can sleep well at night is beyond me. £100 for 1 incorrect letter in the reg is just pure robbery imo

Ye what happens if your dyslexi or having eye problem, good luck OP and I hope mine get quashed as well.

Apologies. This topic has been covered before but I seem to recall a change in the procedure recently in that it's best not to ignore these letters anymore.

Anyway, I've got a fine from Parking Eye saying I was in asda car park for 9 hours. Thing is the missus went in shopping at 9am and I went to put petrol in at 6pm. So it was two separate occasions.

Same happened to me in the summer on Aldi car park, after challenging the duty manager he assured me he would speak to the area manager to resolve the issue, which , after receiving a second

I've got proof of my purchase using my card and I was in work that day so impossible for me to be there in the morning. The missus went in to buy a birthday cake for my daughter but they didn't have it so she left without purchasing.

If I go into asda will they sort it or do I have to go through parking fucking twating eye.

Same happened to me on Aldi car park. After informing the manager he assured me he would contact the area manager and the problem would be resolved, the proviso being I had not contacted the Mafia-esque company, if I had, it would be out of his hands.

Happened with me at McD's, as per the signage I asked the manager to record my reg as I was staying longer than 90 mins, 2 weeks later get a fine, I went into the store and went fucking ballistic - they said the same as you about "had i contacted the company?", which I hadn't. Manager said she would try and sort and lo and behold I got a letter couple of weeks later saying it had been deleted.

Twats.

I'm waiting for the letter to arrive some from parking Eye for when I left my van on Tesco carpark in Purley Surrey...

I was allowed 3 hours, I knew that, but after some crimbo shopping on the high street and a meal in wetherspoons, I was on the phone chatting to some Brummie **** off here, and Norris aka PLLK talked the hind legs of this donkey to the point I totally forgot about my van.

Cheers mate; )

Talking in my local at the time with a MP and local councillor, both said, if the fine is on land that is not on council property, then it's not worth the paper it's written on. Subsequently talking to the Aldi manager on a different parking issue, said his hands were tied on anything related to the car-park due to it being owned by the council.
The coucillor disagreed, stating, They are not receiving any money from said fines.

When I got done by Parking Eye for going over the time by 14 minutes we had two cars with us and only one of us got the letter (who do you reckon!). For me it took them 5 days to get the letter out, I'd say you are fine after then and I don't think they can go for you legally after 14 days anyway. I think they must get that many that they can't physically process enough of them in time..

I appealed mine on the basis that if they could provide me evidence of the loss which justifes their charge in a free empty car park at 10 at night then I would happily reimburse but otherwise I would be going to appeal through POPLA (costs them £30 just to hear it). Recieved it on the 15th of November and still awaiting to hear off my appeal to them, I am even thinking of charging them for replying late.

In my mind they make their money off the people who either pay up or ignore it, it costs them money however to fight people.

Every time you step out of your front door there are councils, police, parking companies actively looking to catch you out to get your money, this country has gone to the dogs.
