According to the guy from the council clamping them they do. We spoke to him as we were concerned it was for parking and we were just up the road

That used to be the case but changed when tax discs were abolished. Local authorities now have access to the DVLA database, can identify untaxed vehicles via CCTV cameras and issue tickets or clamp them.

I've just been able to book parking on the city website. Looks to be live now.
