Passes/Pass Completion

Yaya Toure is what Mancini said he is. He's superb and orchestrates our rhythm of play. He is probably the most complete footballer in the Premier League. He can play in the centre of defence, sit deep and play it simple, play a central midfielder and roam around the pitch and play behind the strikers running at the opposition. When people complain about him, because of his lack of endurance I am quite bemused. He isn't a James Milner that can go for 90 minutes at a high tempo, he is a true footballer and we are very lucky to have that calibre a player at our football club.

Him, Silva, Aguero and Nasri will be a complete joy to watch this season.

Fair enough, I prefer mine though if for no other reason than they make Nani look useless!

Haha I have no complaints with that.... I always find it strange with stats of this particular aspect of the game how do they actually work this out??? It can't be 100% correct, is there like a guy in a room watching a game counting how many passes are made???? Even that would of made our 5-1 game look boring as fuck...

I agree he's total class he likes hovers over a pitch and zips the ball 40 metres across the turf with little effort

Yep, totally agree. Showed the most astuteness or best 'footballing brain' (hate that term) on the pitch that day. I find it strange and satisfying how he can exude such performances while barely exploiting his physical traits.

James Milner has very gifted athleticism. Even then, people can't make analogous comparisons with Toure due to their different respective requirements.

A quote from a United fan re. their pass completion against Arsenal:

I paused my porn to read this thread, but I didn't stop masturbating.

God knows what they would be like if they supported a team with a midfield like ours!

We made 549 successful passes. That's incredible really.

Last time i saw a stat like that it had Barca's name next to it. We really are turning into a fluid passing side. Our mix of poise and technique with power and pace is perfect

The rags midfield is never goingto have a high pass rate, they are really a glorified aston villa - overload the wings and cross into the box. It is one kf the reasons they will never beat barca, you cant beat them playing like that. Mancini has really got us playing in a way that will bring us success domesticallyand abroad.

Swansea have most passes so far

They maybe should try and put it in the net a couple of times instead then and maybe they will have a sniff at staying up.
