Just checked, I knew he wasn't on his last legs but didn't know he was only 23 when he joined us! What a signing for us at that time! No idea how we pulled that one off

For some reason I was quite disappointed in ex Barcelona player Ronnie Ekelund when he played briefly for us. Looking back I don't think he ever was really much cop anyway. Think I was probably getting confused with another Dane and ex Barcelona player Michael Laudrup, now he was quality!!

Anelka was an exceptional player at City on his day, had some great games and scored a fair few goals.
Anelka is still one of the best forwards I've seen play for us. The downside ofcourse was that 'Le Sulk' really did look like he just couldn't be arsed quite a lot of the time!
