Pastore

PSG have plans. Fair play to them. Perhaps someone sold him on THEIR project? Perhaps Pastore was intrigued by living and working in Paris. Perhaps Pastore has been intrigued by Paris since he was a kid? Who knows? I wonder which arrondissement he'll be bunking in...

Seriously couldn't care less about Pastore as I mentioned yesterday, likewise with Mata. Don't get me wrong he may turn out to be half-decent, but £37.5m for him is a joke. The only people getting excited about him it seems are FM warriors like Dax or people who actually believe that Serie A is still a half-decent league.

Yes, that certainly must be it. It certain;y couldn't simply be that he is better than what we have at the position.

I'd like to throw my hat into the ring here.

For me Javier Pastore has sold out. People can say that Tevez sold out, as did others like Silva and Balotelli, but with those players they were joining a team playing in the best league in the world on rankings.

Pastore has moved from the 4th best league in the world, to the 5th best league in the world. PSG didnt even qualify for the CL so you can tick that one off the check list. Yes PSG are showing ambition by signing some like Javier, but its not PSG's amibtion we are talking about.

While the above mentioned City players moved to a team also in the Europa League they were still either staying at the best league or moving to the best league in the world. Tevez (United 1st to City 1st), Silva (Valencia 2nd to City 1st), Balo (Inter 4th to City 1st). Those players and others for City have tried bettering themselves, and while money no doubt played a part, ambition would have been a high priority too.

On the flip side, Javier Pastore for me has shown a complete lack of ambition and i feel we have dodged a bullet in not signing him, as can Chelsea fans especially. Pastore will now go on to become one of those players people will talk of as a great player, without having really done anything in one of the top 2 leagues. He will rot away in France like a block of Brie swetting in the Nice sunshine.

He will be playing (and losing )in the CL every year and they will have a great team in the years ahead, make no mistake about it.

Not sure about the great team part. They can rule France but a French team will not rule Europe.

LOL at the mugs who are saying "Oh well...he isn't that good anyway" like 6 year olds

Pastore is world class and with the team PSG have now (Pastore, Sissoko, Menez, Gameiro) they will walk to the french title and be in the champions league next year...

Not the move I expected, but there are alot of sad bitter people in here.

PSG will have to add another 7 players to that team.

Not really sad and bitter, I never wanted him tbh.

It won't always be in the fifth best league, PSG's new resources combined with their potential market might be enough to drag France football up along with it.

PSG got a very good player with the potential of becoming one of the best in the game; they'll be a force to reckon in the next years.
