They dodnt want it more than us at all....
And you cannt fault the teams effort either nor the changes that MH made......with what he had at his disposal he made the correct substitutions
Stoke had at least 6 recognised defenders on the pitch at the end of that half........how many times did you see a stoke player even in the city half during the second half?????....not many times at all......
we had plenty of shots.....just none on target
we just couldnt break them diwn but thats the way it goes sometimes.......especially against 10men........who were all behind the ball
What this does show us is that as ie been saying for a long long time.....we need a forward who plays on the shoulder of the last man and who doesnt drop deep.......bellamy was dropping deep to get the ball (not a criticism of him as he worked his arse off as you would expect.....)....but it meant we had no focal point for our atack.......cacedio as discussed ad nosium isnt good enough......we need a player who can play with strenght and pace and who is an all around attacker....great movement off the ball can beat a man in the air and on the ground....etc etc......
we always wil continue to struggle against teams who play like stoke cause we dont have the players to play in a varied way.
we have proper footballers but who are incapable of bullying teams.......like drogba can

I agree with you, and I'm very disappointed with Hughes atm. I've bought all his talk about slowly building a solid side - then we're shown this! Probably the worst performance of the season.

I've got to say I thought the same thing. No way the rags would have struggle to get an equalizer. Absolutely gutting since I live with one and undoubtedly he'll be giving it to me later in the day. You'd have to say we looked more like a rugby team with how many times we blasted it 40 feet over the crossbar.

tell me what was wrong withe the tactics.....we were spreading the play as juch as possible on a very very small pitch and in windy conditions....we were attacking in numbers and at pace against a team who had everyone behind the ball....we brought a big man on up front.......richards spent most of his time in the attacking third of the field as did the team in general......
when a team puts 10 ment behind the ball it is always gong to be very difficult to break them down....esp away from home......
some people are again falling for the media crap that having 10 men is a huge disadvantage.....it is if you are attacking but not that much when defending unless you have a key defender sent off....delap was there main attacking threat and a midfielder.......the sending off didnt change their defensive abilities just their attacking ones.
if we had been 1-0 up when the man was sent off then we would have seen a different game casue stoke would have had to come out and attack.......but they managed to nick a goal out of nothing (poor defending by bridge to be honest) and then sat back......we tried but couldnt break them down......it happens
